NSKS Celebrates a Memorable 70th Anniversary On 20 June 2026, the Negeri Sembilan Kerala Samajam (NSKS) proudly celebrated its 70th Anniversary with a grand dinner organised by the NSKS Committee and Working Committee, led by the President of NSKS and Organising Chairman, Mr. Sukumaran K. S. Nair. The event was attended by more than 700 guests, including representatives from the state government, dignitaries from Association of Malayalam Associations in Malaysia (AMMA), members of affiliated Samajams, NSKS members, and the wider community. The evening was filled with entertainment and cultural performances. Dance troupes Vehara Dance Art Studio and Shreevar Unique Arts captivated the audience with four outstanding performances, while K.V. Sudhan and Rajiv Menon delighted guests with their musical presentations. A highlight of the celebration was a series of specially curated slideshow presentations that traced the rich history of NSKS over the past seven decades. The presentations paid tribute to past and present Presidents and their committees, showcased memorable events and milestones, and celebrated the many individuals who contributed to the growth of the Samajam. These presentations were thoughtfully prepared by Mrs. Geetha Pillai and Ms. Hirreniya Visvanathan. The occasion also recognised the achievements of the younger generation, with awards presented to youths who excelled in academics and sports. Guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner and warm fellowship throughout the evening. The event was a fitting tribute to 70 years of service, unity, culture, and community spirit. It was truly a historic celebration that will be remembered as one of the most significant milestones in the history of NSKS and a shining example of what a Samajam can achieve through dedication, teamwork, and community support. • Annual General Meeting of AMMA for 2025 in KL – NSKS attended and had about 25 attendees. • Ladies Wing of AMMA organized a game at Lulu Mall called “Hunt, Grab and Give” and NSKS provided 2 teams to participate. • Perak Malayalee Association’s 50th Anniversary- 1 table by NSKS in Ipoh. • Selangor Federal Territory Malayalee Association’s Onam Celebrations – Attended by NSKS.
